DIAMETER over driving
band- 77 mm LENGTH- 185 mm (aprrox.) Steel ring above driving band- 75 mm Alloy case- 61 mm A 3 mm hole in the base allows the propellant gases to build up pressure in the cavity. After shot ejection , the internal pressure is used to expel the the rear case backwards, so the fins can expand. It seems the Driving Band could rotate in the metal case to prevent spin of the projectile. |
