HEAPS OF AMMUNITION

On several locations the German Demining Services pile up hundreds of tons of rusty ammunition.
Shells, Rockets and Aircraft Bombs. Most German fabrication from WWII. But also Russian material.
The most is filled with tar or sand. Used as Inert for Proving purposes. But there are life shells among them as well. A big part is examined with X-Ray to see what is in it. The disarming of the devices is centralized by the German Government for reasons of environment protection.

The sites where the ammunition is stocked is guarded with dogs, armed guards, cameras and infra-red detection devices.
